What is Clip-Share?

Clip-Share? is a commercial video-sharing script (a YouTube-style clone) made by ScriptXperts?. Sites running Clip-Share? allow registered visitors to upload videos which are then converted to Adobe Flash? format that can easily be streamed to other members and unregistered visitors. The script also allows commenting, rating, embedding, and more and is considered the most advanced and established video-sharing script available on the market today.

So... what is this site for anyways?

The purpose of this site is to create a collaboration database for all the information that exists related to the Clip-Share? Video-Sharing script. It is intended to complement the basic documentation that is included with the Clip-Share? package, covering not only aspects of installation, upgrades, and server setups, but also user-contributed and known bugfixes, enhancements, mods, and hacks.

Who adds the content?

You! A wiki is a collaborative effort which requires the contributions of it's readers. These pages are very easy to edit once you have an account. If you don't really know what a Wiki even is, check out Wikipedia for a prime example of a developed wiki. This site uses almost all of the same concepts, so it should be easy to start editing!

If one of the following points applies to you, then you would be an invaluable asset to the project and should join!

• I already run a (or several!) successful and established Clip-Share? based site(s)
• I already blog/write about Clip-Share? on my spare time (and/or sleep)
• I write mods/design templates for sale or for free
• I have experience writing for, editing, or managing a Wiki (uses TikiWiki)
• I work for ScriptXperts/Danny and want to see the product community really take off!
• I am an expert in *nix, PHP, mySQL, or the FFMPEG/MEncoder libraries
• I just have lots of time on my hands and I really want to help the community (while gaining a position of prestige/knowledge in the topic of your choice)

As the site is starting out, we need to lay out the groundwork for how the Wiki will be organized before tons of content starts getting thrown in on random pages, so because of this, I want to keep the address hush-hush until it is a little more established.
